The Seas

Germany has got its coast in the North. The coast touches two seas:

The North Sea goes from Germany, off in the direction of the Netherlands. The Baltic Sea goes towards Poland. The two seas are seperated by the Jutland and Denmark.

The North Sea

The North Sea is an arm or branch of the Atlantic Ocean. It stretches from Great Britain to France and from France to Denmark. The North Sea is approximately 220,000 square miles. The North is the end of such rivers as:

It also feeds the Thames and the Humber in England.

 

The Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea isn't as big as the North Sea at 160,000 square miles. It contains relatively little salt and is surrounded by Denmark, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Lithuania. There are many Gulfs of the Baltic Sea. The four most important are:

The most important German ports on the Baltic Sea are 'Kiel' and 'Lübeck' ports.
